Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Vinmont Finance is committed to protecting the privacy of the people we deal with. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how it's handled.

Luca Vincent Antico, trading as Vinmont Finance, is an authorised Credit Representative (580782) of Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd (ACN 623 909 339), Australian Credit Licence 522933. Vinmont Finance does not hold its own Australian Credit Licence.

1. About this Privacy Policy

Luca Vincent Antico operates Vinmont Finance, a finance broker specialising in vehicle, equipment, business cashflow and personal finance. We provide credit assistance as an authorised Credit Representative of Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd, the Australian Credit Licensee — Vinmont Finance is not itself licensed and does not hold Australian Credit Licence 522933 or any other credit licence.

This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and — because we provide credit assistance — the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2024. Because we operate under Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd's Australian Credit Licence, some obligations in relation to credit information are shared with, or ultimately governed by, Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd as the licensee.

2. What is personal information?

“Personal information” means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable. Depending on the type of finance assistance you're seeking, the personal information we collect may include:

  • your name, date of birth and contact details
  • residential or business address
  • identification information (e.g. driver's licence, passport)
  • employment and income information
  • expenses, assets and liabilities
  • banking and other financial information
  • business information, where you're enquiring on behalf of a business
  • your finance requirements and objectives
  • credit history and credit-related information
  • information contained in documents you provide to us

We only collect the categories of information that are reasonably necessary for the service you've asked us for — a general website enquiry requires far less information than a full finance application.

3. Credit information

Because we provide finance broking and credit assistance, if you proceed with a finance application we may also collect and handle credit information about you — for example, information about credit applications and accounts, repayment history, credit enquiries, defaults, credit reports and your general creditworthiness. This is handled in accordance with the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2024 and Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd's privacy and credit reporting framework.

Submitting a general enquiry through this website does not, by itself, authorise us to obtain a credit report or make a credit enquiry about you. That only happens once you decide to proceed with a finance application and provide separate, specific consent via the Privacy Disclosure Statement & Consent (see the PDF above).

4. How we collect personal information

We usually collect personal information directly from you, through:

  • enquiry and quote forms on this website
  • phone conversations and emails
  • a finance application, if you proceed with one
  • documents you provide to us
  • meetings or other communications with us

Where relevant to assessing or verifying a finance application, and with your knowledge or consent, we may also collect information from third parties such as your accountant, employer, bank, a referrer, a credit provider, a credit reporting body, or another party reasonably involved in verifying the information you've provided.

5. Website enquiries

It's important to distinguish between two different things:

A general website enquiry — our enquiry and quote forms only collect the details needed for Luca Vincent Antico to call or email you back: your name, phone number, email address, what you're looking to finance, and (in the quote form) the approximate amount and applicant type. Submitting one of these forms doesn't engage us as your broker, and doesn't authorise a credit check, a lender submission, or disclosure of your credit information.

Engaging us for credit assistance — if you decide to proceed, you'll be asked to provide further information and to sign the Privacy Disclosure Statement & Consent, which separately and specifically authorises the collection, use and disclosure of your credit information for that purpose.

6. Anonymous enquiries

Where practical, you're welcome to make a general enquiry (for example, asking a general question by phone or email) without identifying yourself. However, once you engage us to assist with a finance application, we'll generally need to identify you — this is required to assess your application properly and to comply with our legal obligations.

7. Information collected when you use this website

Our web hosting infrastructure may automatically log basic technical information when you visit this website, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. This is standard, low-level server logging used for security and reliability — it isn't linked to your identity unless you separately submit an enquiry form.

8. Cookies and analytics

This website does not currently use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or tracking pixels of any kind — there is no Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or similar technology running on this site. If that changes in future, this policy will be updated first to explain what's used and how you can manage it.

9. Why we collect and use personal information

We collect and use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry
  • understand your finance requirements and objectives
  • provide credit assistance and assess suitable finance options
  • communicate with you about your enquiry or application
  • prepare and manage a finance application, if you proceed
  • verify the information you've provided
  • communicate with lenders and credit providers on your behalf
  • help facilitate settlement of your finance
  • provide ongoing customer service
  • comply with our legal and regulatory obligations
  • manage and respond to complaints
  • improve this website and our services

10. Disclosure of personal information

Depending on the circumstances and the service you've asked for, and where reasonably necessary or authorised, we may disclose personal information to parties such as banks, lenders and other credit providers, lessors, credit reporting bodies, Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd, aggregators, your accountant or employer (for verification), insurers (where relevant), asset suppliers or dealers (where relevant), identity verification providers, our professional advisers, our IT and other service providers, and regulators or government bodies where legally required.

We don't disclose your information to every party on this list automatically — disclosure depends on the specific service you've engaged us for and, for credit information, your consent under the Privacy Disclosure Statement & Consent.

11. Credit reporting bodies

Where a credit application proceeds, we may disclose your identification information to a credit reporting body (CRB) and, in some cases, obtain a credit report to assist with assessing your application. Merely visiting this website or submitting a general enquiry does not result in a credit reporting body being contacted. The CRBs Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd may deal with include:

  • Experianwww.experian.com.au1300 783 684
  • Equifaxwww.equifax.com.au138 332
  • Tasmanian Collection Servicewww.tascol.com.au03 6213 555
  • illionwww.illion.com.au13 23 33
  • Dun & Bradstreetpac.austral@dnb.com.au1300 734 806

Full detail on credit reporting is set out in the official Privacy Disclosure Statement & Consent and our Credit Guide.

12. Direct marketing

This website doesn't currently operate a newsletter or automated marketing sign-up. From time to time, and only where permitted by law, Luca Vincent Antico may contact past or prospective clients about finance services relevant to them. You can ask not to receive further contact of this kind at any time by contacting us using the details below — we'll act on that request promptly.

We don't sell personal information to unrelated organisations for their own marketing purposes.

13. Government-related identifiers

If you proceed with a finance application, we may receive identification information such as your driver's licence or passport details, used to verify your identity as part of the application process. This information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Disclosure Statement & Consent and is not used for any purpose beyond identity verification and the finance application.

14. Cross-border disclosure

As part of providing services to Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd and its Credit Representatives, some of Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd's service providers (such as contractors, document custodians and systems providers) are located overseas. Per Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd's current official Privacy Disclosure Statement, this is likely to include providers located in:

  • Germany
  • New Zealand
  • United Kingdom
  • Philippines
  • Singapore
  • Malaysia
  • Vietnam
  • United States of America

Full detail on overseas disclosure is set out in the official Privacy Disclosure Statement & Consent above.

15. Security of personal information

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including limiting access to personal information to those who need it to do their job, and requiring the service providers we engage to keep information confidential and secure.

16. Data breaches

If we become aware of an eligible data breach involving your personal information, we'll deal with it in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and will notify you as soon as practicable where required.

17. Accessing your personal information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting Luca Antico at luca@vinmontfinance.com.au. Where information is instead held by Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd as the Australian Credit Licensee, we'll direct your request to their Privacy Officer, or you can contact them directly on 1300 123 125 or admin@talktoabroker.com.au. An administration fee may apply in some cases to cover the cost of providing the information.

18. Correcting your personal information

If any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, you can ask us to correct it using the same contact details above, and we'll act on reasonable requests promptly.

19. Third-party links

This website may link to third-party websites, including lenders and Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd's own website. We're not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites — please review their own privacy policies.

20. Complaints

If you have a concern about how your personal information has been handled, please contact Luca Antico first, on 0499 148 751 or luca@vinmontfinance.com.au, and we'll try to resolve it quickly and fairly.

Because Vinmont Finance operates as a Credit Representative of Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd, you can also raise a privacy complaint directly with Talk To A Broker Holdings Pty Ltd's Privacy Officer on 1300 123 125 or admin@talktoabroker.com.au. If your complaint isn't resolved to your satisfaction, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Complaints about our credit assistance specifically (rather than privacy) follow a separate process — including escalation to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) — set out in our Credit Guide.

21. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page.
